Terms of service

Last updated 4 October 2026. These terms are between you and Destilado Labs, a business of HolCo LLC ("we"), for the Wheelclerk website and app.

What Wheelclerk does

Wheelclerk builds a mileage log from data your vehicle's manufacturer makes available through Smartcar, lets you classify trips, and produces summaries and exports. It records; it does not advise. Whether a trip is deductible, and what you claim, is between you and your tax adviser. We are not accountants or lawyers and nothing in the app or on this site is tax advice.

Your account and your car

You must be 18 or older and connect only a vehicle you own or are authorised to connect. You are responsible for the accuracy of the tags, purposes and odometer marks you enter, and for keeping your own copies of exports you rely on. We provide the log as the vehicle reports it; manufacturer data can be late, missing or wrong, and you should review trips before relying on them.

Subscriptions

Wheelclerk is $7.99 per month or $79.99 per year after a 14-day free trial, billed through your Apple ID. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled in your Apple subscription settings at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. Prices may change; we'll give notice in the app before a change applies to you.

Acceptable use

Don't use Wheelclerk to track a vehicle or person without authority, attempt to access other accounts or our systems, resell the service, or feed it false data to produce a misleading record.

Availability and changes

We aim to keep Wheelclerk running but can't promise it will always be available, and vehicle support depends on manufacturers and Smartcar continuing to provide data. We may change or discontinue features; if we discontinue the service we'll give at least 60 days' notice and keep export available during that time.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, Wheelclerk is provided "as is", and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for tax outcomes, missed deductions, penalties, or losses from inaccurate vehicle data.

Ending the relationship

You can delete your account from the app at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. Sections on liability survive termination.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of North Carolina, United States. If a part is unenforceable the rest still applies. Questions: hello@wheelclerk.com.
